Ben Baumann is the Director Youth Ministries for Bethel Evangelical Free Church (Or just, Bethel) on Washington Island, WI. He, along with his wife, Stephanie began this adventure on January 2, 2009. It would, though, be unfair to say that that is where this all truly began. Truth is, God had been planting seeds and watering them through the people Ben met and others he's been close to in the years leading up to now. Thanks to God and those people Ben feels like he has roots. A year ago, Ben wasn't sure he could have done this job, but now stands strong and excited to see what God will do on Washington Island. Ben's strengths lie in creativity and faith. He believes that creativity is worship at it's most simple, pure form. Ben comes to the Island knowing his calling, to love God with everything he's got and to love others to his furthest extent. He will strive to do that in his life as he interact with the youth that will no doubt teach him just as much as he hopes to teach them. Ben is a husband and father of two - Ella and Eli; proof of God's love and evidence of His blessings. Ben looks forward to not only touching the lives of the youth he will encounter, but also the community he is now, once again, a part of.
